We’re only a week away from the premiere of The Voice Season 4 on March 25, but if this sneak peek clip from the blind auditions is any indication of the talent level this spring, we are definitely excited.
When 28-year-old Judith Hill takes the stage she gets the coveted four-chair turn for her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s “What a Girl Wants."
Her laid back, jazzy vibe was filled with gracefully mastered riffs and impressive high notes. Coaches Usher and Adam Levine turned within seconds, and it was clear that Adam was desperate to get Judith on his team.
“As far as competition goes, I am a monster, and I’m going to claw everyone’s face until you realize that I’m your friggin’ coach,” Adam said. “I’m going to light myself on fire to make sure you are on my team."
Adam also said Judith was the first Voice contestant to perform a Christina Aguilera song as well as his former co-coach.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m running for president right now,” Adam continued.
“But I’m looking for the first lady,” Usher shot back.
Adam refused to let Usher’s charm outweigh his desperation to snag this special artist.
“Seriously, I’m going to have a panic attack if you don’t choose me,” he said. “Because I know you’re going to win. I just know.”
Those are pretty powerful words, Mr. Levine.
But are they good enough to convince Judith to be the newest member of Team Adam? Guess you’ll have to tune in next week to find out!
The Voice Season 4 premieres Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
