The Bachelorette

Why Wasn’t Lindsay Yenter Picked to Be the Next Bachelorette?

It feels like just last week that Lindsay Yenter walked toward Bachelor Sean Lowe all full of hope and heart, only to be turned away with an apology when she was dumped in Thailand. But while America watched her fresh wounds being made, Linds wasn’t experiencing them anew. And although the Season 17 finale was filmed four months before airing, we were wondering if the reason she was overlooked for Season 9 of The Bachelorette was because she still longed for her blond ex, or at least hadn’t mended her young heart.

While that still may be part of the reason, Reality Steve thinks that the real culprit separating the Army brat from handing out our salary’s worth of roses is something — or someone — else altogether. “I never heard the reason, but after her conference call with the media on Tuesday, where she was gushing about a new boyfriend, I’m guessing that played a role in her not getting it. Just a hunch,” he explains.

Well, that would do it. And to think, we were busy worrying that Tierra would skip Bachelor Pad 4 because of her engagement (RIP Bachelor Pad). We’re happy that Lindsay seems to be content in her new relationship, and we love Des, but it would’ve been fun to see her sweet smile onscreen for a few months... What do you think, are you glad Desiree Hartsock is the next Bachelorette, or do you wish Lindsay would’ve ditched the dude and hung with Harrison for a while? Weigh in below.
