Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 18 Promos: 5 Things We Learned (VIDEOS)

We're constantly looking for clues about what's coming up next on Grey's Anatomy Season 9, and what better source of info than the promos themselves?

We've taken a close look at the previews for Season 9, Episode 18: "Idle Hands" and the drama is alive and well at the newly-named Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Here’s what we gathered from our frame-by-frame analysis of both the American and Canadian promos:

Derek is going McCrazy.
Though he’s tackled many difficult and insane issues in his life — including getting shot, being chief, and almost dying in a plane crash — the “biggest challenge of his life” is his pregnant, paranoid, and hormonal wife, Meredith. Cue Britney Spears’ “You Drive Me Crazy”?

It’s a boy... or a girl! Meredith may be driving Derek insane, but it will all pay off when they find out the sex of their baby. And from the looks of it, everyone is excited.

Ready, set, react! The staff (and prominently, the interns) are rounded up as Jackson unveils the hospital’s new name and logo. It seems like reactions are mixed...

Cristina and Bailey team up? To get what she wants, Bailey tries to woo Cristina with “cutting-edge medical technology,” and though it seems like it works (Cristina even says they’re “on the same page”), ultimately, Bailey can’t get the support or money she needs for her new project.

Bailey is making moves — but Jackson shuts her down. Continuing the trend from last week, Jackson is still ignoring Bailey’s questions, concerns, and general ideas — especially with this new project! “I am a doctor today, Bailey!” he exclaims, which we bet is about him trying to figure out his new role.
