2013 American Idol Ratings Nose Dive From Last Week, Still Win Night
The theme for the 2013 American Idol ratings seems to be “How low can we go?” Last night's Season 12 Top 9 performance show as down a huge 8 percent in the adults 18-49 category over last week's Top 10 show. The total viewership overall was down 26 percent overall compared to last year, and 32 percent in the 18-49 age group. American Idol 2013 averaged only 12.7 million viewers last night, down from 17.2 million for the comparable show last year.
Even with the horrible American Idol 2013 ratings last night, the show still managed to come in first place for the evening. Fox also won the night overall.

FOX: 3.5 rating/10 share; 12.668 million viewers
