American Idol 2013 Synopsis: Season 12, Episode 20 – Top 9 Perform!

Wondering what’s going to go down on American Idol 2013 this week? We’ve got your American Idol synopsis, including everything you can expect from the Season 12 Top 9 performance show on Wednesday!

The theme for the 2-hour performance show on Wednesday, March 20 (8 p.m-10 p.m. ET), is the music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Say it with us–eek! The viewers and hopefuls likely take a gigantic “gulp” whenever they hear this. It can either bring out the best or the worst in these singers and, because everyone knows and loves Lennon and McCartney music, the Top Nine will be held to lofty standards.

Here are the folks you will see perform on Wednesday:

Paul Jolley

Burnell Taylor

Devin Velez

Lazaro Arbos

Janelle Arthur

Candice Glover

Angie Miller

Kree Harrison

Amber Holcomb

Will they rise to the occasion like Brooke White did when she took on “Let It Be” during season 7? Or will they make a horrible song choice, like David Archuleta’s decision to sing “We Can Work It Out”? One never knows, but Kree and Candice have a leg up, as they always seem to know how to choose the right songs.

On top of the performances by the American Idol 2013 Top 9 on Wednesday, we will find out whether the guy who glorifies weirdness, Charlie Askew, or the breathtakingly beautiful Aubrey Cleland has been voted in as the 11th Idol to go on the American Idols LIVE! tour this summer.

What are you most excited for this week on Idol?
