5. Wren Kingston

Why he might be “A”: Wren spent a lot of time with Mona at Radley, so maybe he learned tricks from her on how to grab control of the “A” team. Plus, Melissa recently referred to Wren as “bad company,” so he might be “A” and she might be on a team that’s battling “A.” Also, Toby has always hated Wren, so we can see Toby especially wanting to bring down the “A” team if it was run by Wren.

Why he might not be “A”: We would really have no clue as to Wren’s motivation for being on the “A” team. And he’s seemed to have genuine feelings for Spencer, which would mean him being on the “A” team would be extra messed-up.

4. CeCe Drake

Why she might be “A”: CeCe wasn’t in the finale this week — or at least her face wasn’t. Might her hand have been the one reaching to pull Ali’s out of the ground? Or maybe CeCe started the fire? CeCe and Ali haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, so we can imagine one of them starting a fire while the other one saves people from it.

Why she might not be “A”: Is she even still alive? We’re inclined to think Jason is in Wilden’s trunk, but it could be CeCe, too, since she and Wilden have clashed this season. And what would CeCe’s motivation be as “A”? CeCe is the type who doesn’t do something unless she’s confident that it will benefit her.

3. Jenna Marshall

Why she might be “A”: Jenna is up to something, between saying on the phone that she’s worried the police have evidence, to conspiring with Melissa and Shana about the soiree, to moving Wilden’s body with Shana. How does Jenna know costume shop worker Shana anyway? Those two are a surprising pair, but we suppose the heart wants what it wants.

Why she might not be “A”: Jenna, Melissa, and Shana don’t necessarily appear to be on the “A” team, but maybe on some rival team. We also keep remembering how Jenna once told the Liars that she isn’t the one they should be worried about. Then again, everyone on this show seems worth worrying about.

2. Lucas Gottesman

Why he might be “A”: Can we believe that Toby is a double agent? We’d like to think so — but then why was Toby trying to run Lucas down in his truck earlier this season? We can’t imagine how this would help Spencer, unless Lucas is trying to hurt her as “A.” Speaking of which, where have you been lately, Lucas?

Why he might not be: We just can’t imagine Lucas being diabolical enough to carry out such evil plans — especially not against Hanna. Destroying Ali’s memorial is one thing — being “A” is definitely another.

1. Alison DiLaurentis

Why she might be “A”: Ali was seen pulling the girls from the fire, and it was this same benevolent Ali whom we’ve seen assisting the girls during their supposed hallucinations. But we’re still thinking she has an evil twin, and maybe this twin is the one who started the fire. Two Alis are more trouble than one.

Why she might not be “A”: Mysteries still persist involving Ali, like who pulled her out of the ground, or why her body was found at the beginning of the series if she didn’t actually die. So we’re thinking she’s “A,” but there are still a lot of Ali-related loose ends. Is it June yet?
