Brandi Glanville Shares Dating Rules: What’s Off Limits on a First Date?

We sometimes forget that Brandi Glanville is a single mom. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills prides herself in keeping her kids out of the spotlight, and she has the same policy when it comes to dating.

In a Q&A session with readers of OK! Magazine, fans asked Brandi about her dating life, and she was more than happy to spill some tips.

Her first rule of thumb for dating as a single mother? Number one in the Brandi Glanville dating rules: Protect your kids.

“It’s been 4 years and no one’s met my children,” said Brandi, “I have some guy friends that are single dads, and they bring every girlfriend they have around. The kids are so confused. Make sure it’s the real deal before you bring your family into it, because if that person goes it’s a heartbreak for your children.”

Solid advice! Brandi also advises to save talk of your kids until after the first couple of dates.

“No one wants to hear about your c-section,” she joked. “They don’t need to know. They may not ever meet them [your kids], so you don’t need to talk about them on the first date. You gotta keep it sexy.”

So have any of her fellow housewives ever tried to set Brandi up on dates? Both Yolanda Foster and Lisa Vanderpump have apparently attempted to hook up the former model with a male companion. But it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing.

“It’s hard, because I know right away whether i like someone, and when your friends set you up and they’re friends with them, it’s a little weird,” Brandi explained. “They’re still looking for me.”

She went on to say Yolanda set her up with a great guy, but that things didn’t work out because he was a musician who had to travel a lot.

“I need someone who’s here,” Brandi said.

We already know Brandi’s embargo on dating actors, but does are there any other types of guys she’s avoiding?

“No athletes, no musicians, no actors,” she said emphatically. “I’ve been there, there’s ego involved and traveling. I already have trust issues, so when they’re traveling, I have trust issues. It’s unsettling for me and it bring back old feelings that I don't like.”

What kind of guy would you like to see Brandi with?
