My Chemical Romance Splits Up After 12 Years

The future of the rock band My Chemical Romance is not okay we promise.

The screamo band has announced that they are parting ways after 12 years together, according to the band's website.

The band has released four studio albums and earned one Grammy nomination. The band's first hit was the song "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," which went gold.

"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing," says the band via their website. "And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end."

"Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure," the band adds.

Singer Gerard Way tweeted on March 23:

The band's biggest selling album was 2006's The Black Parade, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard chart before evetually going platinum.

We imagine a lot of the band's fans probably feel like they're in a black parade at the moment.
