The Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers: What Happens on Episode 15 “This Sorrowful Life”?
We’re almost at the end. Just one more episode after The Walking DeadSeason 3, Episode 15, "This Sorrowful Life," and we’ll have nothing to live for watch until the October premiere of Season 4.
Episode 15 — the second-to-last episode of Season 3 — will air Sunday, March 24 on AMC. Here’s the official synopsis: "Rick and the others learn that if they want a truce with the Governor, they must make a sacrifice." We already know The Governor wants Michonne, but Team Prison is probably not going to give her up. But is Merle in trouble?
The spoiler photos in this video suggest Merle will go the way of the walker, probably by the end of this episode. Check around the :49 minute mark, and then later when Merle is with The Governor. What do you make of that? Dallas Roberts (Milton) also joined the cast of Unforgettable, so it's possible he'll be leaving the show too. And what's going to happen with Andrea? At the end of Episode 14, we saw her tied up in Woodbury. Will anyone save her? Should Team Prison go save her?
Andrew Lincoln (Rick) recently talked toMTV about the rest of the season: “The final few episodes ... well, fifteen is epic, and incredibly emotional. It's one of my favorite episodes, as is sixteen. I won't be amiss in saying that not everybody gets out alive. Of course — we are The Walking Dead, after all! [Laughs] And it's season three!” We've read rumors thattwo more major deaths are coming at the end of this season, in the final two episodes, and that would include a death on Episode 15. It’s possible one will be Merle. How about The Governor? We may also see more “minor” character deaths, on top of the big ones. But we’re just speculating.
Andrew also told E! News, just a couple of days before Episode 15, "It's an incredibly emotional episode. And heroic. There are two performances in it that, when I was watching actors do it, I just loved it. It was perfect. Like a lot of the writing this season, it goes in a way I never anticipated, and it's very surprising. It's a great episode. It felt like clockwork. Every scene earned its place and moved the story along like clockwork."
We're going to throw out the guess that the two performances he means are from Michael Rooker (Merle) and Norman Reedus (Daryl) but maybe it's a different combo. Either way, this sounds like a great one!
Episode 16, "Welcome to the Tombs," aka the season finale, airs March 31. That synopsis is "Rick and the others consider the defense of the prison as the Governor's impending attack looms." So it sounds like The Governor is going to attack again on the season finale. Read more season finale spoilers/teases here.
