The Walking Dead Season 3 Finale Spoilers: 27 Characters to Die?
Not too long ago, Andrew Lincoln (Rick) told Rolling Stone "twenty-seven people die" on The Walking DeadSeason 3 finale, Episode 16, "Welcome to the Tombs." That ep airs next Sunday, March 31 on AMC.
That sounds like A LOT of people, but it's possible he was exaggerating, just throwing out a random number, or talking about lots of Woodbury people we never even met to begin with.
More recently, Andy talked to Yahoo! and they asked him about the 27 deaths.
Yahoo: “Are people taking that number too seriously?” Andy: “(Laughing) Did that go out in print?” Yahoo: “It did. And some people are taking that as an exact number.” Andy: “I so have to be careful in what I say. It's safe to say that we finish in the style [viewers] have become accustomed to. I don't think people will be disappointed."
We'd heard that the final two episodes would have two major deaths, and we're guessing Merle is one. We’re hoping The Governor is the other “big” death, but it's possible two is too low a number to be focusing on, since Andy also told E! News of the finale, "That episode doesn't pull any punches. It's pretty much what everyone has grown accustomed to in our season finale. It's carnage, and there is death. Something happens that I find incredibly shocking that relates directly to my character and the prison family. It really came out of left field for me and I never expected it. When I read the script, I was really shocked." That makes us especially worried for baby Judith/Little Ass-Kicker.
What do you think? Will we even know the exact number of deaths on the finale, since we’re gearing up for a major battle and there will probably be plenty of Woodbury casualties? Read a bunch of season finale spoilers/teases here.
