Dancing With The Stars

Who Had Best Dancing With the Stars 2013 Week 2 Jazz: Jacoby, Andy or Kellie?

Whose jazz was all that, to you?

Dancing With the Stars introduced two new styles on Season 16 — Contemporary arrived on Week 1, and Jazz just showed itself on Week 2. We saw three very different Jazz routines from three very different couples. They were all entertaining, but which one moved you to vote?

Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff went first, of the Jazz group, with a routine to "Five Guys Named Moe" by Louis Jordan. The judges said it was “really fantastic,” “fun,” “full of razzle-dazzle and razzamatazz,” and had “wit, charm and energy.” “It was like watching a headlining star at The Cotton Club … You’re a performer, man.” The dance got a score of 23 out of 30.

Later, Andy Dick & Sharna Burgess had a Jazz to “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga that channeled the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts in Wonderland. The judges said it was “a laugh” that was “awkward in places” but fun to watch, and “outlandish and crackers,” allowing Andy to be “wacko demented” and nail it. It got a score of 20 out of 30.

To close the show, Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough did a contemporary Jazz routine to “Lights” by Ellie Goulding. It was called “freaking amazing,” with “mood, atmosphere, chemistry, interpretation” and more. Kellie's Week 1 Cha-Cha showed the spark, but this week had fire. It was deemed modern Jazz at its most effective. The dance got a score of 26 out of 30.
