Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Real Housewives of Miami Update: Lisa Hochstein Tells Us Who’s Speaking…And Who Isn’t! Exclusive

The Season 2 reunion of The Real Housewives of Miami was one of the nastiest we’ve seen yet. No one shoved moderator Andy Cohen a la Real Housewives of New Jersey, or walked out of the room (Real Housewives of New York and Real Housewives of Orange County, natch) but it was a slugfest, nonetheless.

Not only were Lea Black and Ana Quincoces at each other’s throats over Ana’s claim Lea had achieved her success “on her back,” but Adriana DeMoura and Joanna Krupa each branded the other ‘the Devil’ while expressing their mutual hatred. And on a less-angry-but-still-sad note, the friendships between Joanna and good pal Lisa Hochstein appeared strained, as did the relationship between Lea and Marysol Patton.

But with the rumor mill buzzing that Season 3 is about to start shooting, we have to ask: How will any of these women even film with each other at this point? To find out, we turned to Lisa, who filled us in on where the cast currently stands with each other.

Wetpaint Entertainment: When we left off at the reunion, you and Joanna seemed to have grown apart a bit. What happened?

Lisa Hochstein: Honestly, I don’t know what’s going on with us. I feel like we got very close during filming and then kind of grew apart. We’re friendly right now, but there are definitely some things we need to speak about. I think more than anything, we need to sit down and have a talk to figure out if there’s any actual animosity there or not.

Who have you stayed close with during the off-season?

The person I would say I’m the closest with and have the most in common with is Karent. She’s a genuinely nice person and means well. And there’s Adriana. Her fiancé, Frederick, and my husband adore each other. They have a little bit of a bromance actually! We had this ordeal with our house and Frederick spoke out on our behalf to the DRV, the Design Review Board. He postponed a trip so he could attend the meeting and support us, which was so generous. Lea and I have also grown close. She actually had us over for Christmas

Speaking of Lea, the annual Black Ball is fast approaching. Who from the cast will be there?

I think it’s only going to be Joanna, Karent and me. No one else.

Not Ana?

No! I don’t think Ana and Lea want to be in the same room. Things are not good between them.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned during season two that you’ll be taking with you into season three?

People mistake my kindness for weakness. And some people are hungrier and thirstier for fame than others. I think I’m in a good position because I’m not so hungry and thirsty – I don’t have to force it. I won’t fight the unnecessary fight, but when it comes to saying or doing something I feel strongly about, you bet I’m going to do it.
