Dancing With The Stars

Sean Lowe’s Dancing With the Stars Week 2 Jive: Fair Or Underscored?

Sean Lowe played a lifeguard in his Dancing With the Stars Season 16 Week 2 Jive, but the judges thought his dance could’ve used some CPR.

The ex Bachelor and Peta Murgatroyd had a cute swimming with sharks theme, and Bruno Tonioli wanted to be saved by sexy Sean, but the Italian judge felt the dance was more Lindy Hop and Jitterbug than Jive. He wanted more underarm passes. Carrie Ann Inaba said it was a solid performance, but when Sean’s not exactly in sync with Peta he falls out of step with the music. Len Goodman, aka Grumpy, said he didn’t get the dance at all. The theme of the dance took over from the Jive. He didn’t see enough of the Jive, it was too much theme.

That’s more of a challenge to Peta’s choreography than Sean’s dancing, but it’s still disappointing. His overall score was 20, a one-point improvement from Week 1, but he still got a 6 from Len. Do you think the judges were harsh? Did Sean improve more than one point from last week, or was his score fair? Watch the dance below and weigh in...
