At the Moroccan dinner n RHoBH Season 3, Episode 10, Yolanda calls out Taylor for saying, “I’ve been through more than anybody sitting here,” telling the Oklahoma native, “Taylor, you’re talking such nonsense.”
This doesn’t sit well with Taylor, who reiterates her tragic past to Camille Grammer. “Maybe it’s not all rosy in her life,” Cam Gram says, implying Taylor should have compassion for Yolanda.
“And I think we know a little bit more about her husband than she knows we know,” Taylor replies. “I mean, he was married to one of our very good friends for 20 years. Wasn’t all kisses and roses then, was it?”
Taylor is referring to Linda Thompson, a songwriter and former beauty queen who divorced David Foster in 2005. At the time of the split, Linda told PEOPLE the cause of the divorce "will remain personal and private.” In a statement, David said, “"The end of every relationship has three sides: His, hers and the truth.”
Their relationship was chronicled on the short-lived reality show Princes of Malibu. Linda’s sons — with Olympian and sort-of Kardashian Bruce Jenner — Brandon and Brody Jenner also starred, along with future The Hills star Spencer Pratt. If you want proof of how long Taylor and Linda have been friends, check out this this episode for a pre-RHoBH Tay-Tay on the Laguna Beach spin-off.
In addition to Bruce Jenner and David Foster, Linda also had a relationship with the King — Elvis, that is. The TV movie Elvis and the Beauty Queen chronicles their time together.
Linda has appeared on a few RHoBH episodes herself. In Season 1, she and Taylor talk about Kennedy’s $50,000 birthday party. In Season 2, Episode 14, while Taylor got a little hysterical at Brandi Glanville’s Malibu beach party, Linda serenely looked out into the sea and got philosophical, saying, ““Look at this big wide ocean. This ocean’s going to be here long after we’re all gone“ and “We are an evolved species.” In the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3 finale, Linda's relationship with David pops up during Lisa and Ken Todd's vow renewal party.
