Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Yolanda Foster Thought Volleyball Would Make Her Daughter a Lesbian?

On the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3 reunion part one, one of Yolanda Foster’s most ridiculous statements ever popped up. We had totally forgotten about this incident, but yes, we can confirm that Yolanda really did not want her daughter to play volleyball because she was afraid it might make her a lesbian.

Back on a January episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3, Yolanda gets angry that her daughter Gigi wants to play volleyball. She doesn’t feel the sport is feminine and she complains volleyball would make her a lesbian.

“Volleyball is a very masculine sport. Modeling is a very feminine thing,” Yolanda said, urging Gigi to worry about selling her body for advertising purposes over doing something physically active and healthy that might make her look too “athletic.” Yolanda was concerned when her daughter was younger that she might be gay because she liked to wear sporty clothing.

What made this even sadder is listening to Yolanda’s husband David Foster rant about how men don’t think about cooking and other domestic tasks like that because they are too busy dealing with their important careers.

If poor Gigi is harboring any secret thoughts about pretty girls, coming out to her parents would probably be the very last thing she’d ever want to do.
