Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 19 Sneak Peek: Tragedy Strikes

In Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 19: “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” there are plenty of dramatic storylines, including a distraught mother (guest star Sarah Chalke) trying to save her son, Alex and Jo clashing, and a gas tanker explosion on the highway. In this sneak peek, we see the a preview of the latter.

As ambulances bring in the first patients, the smell of gas permeates the air at Sloan Grey Memorial Hospital, and in turn, we see Owen take charge of the ER immediately, exclaiming, “No open flames, no smokers, no use of cauteries. Be safe, people!”

After that intense moment, Chief Hunt embraces his softer side, calming down a 10-year-old boy — whose parents are in critical condition and Owen “bonds” with — and letting him know “everybody is safe” after they hear the tanker explode from afar.

“Your new ER works!” April exclaims. “Just like it’s supposed to,” Owen responds. But just after he calms the young boy down, they see a man on fire outside, and we bet things are only going to get more intense from there.
