Jon Hamm: Stop Discussing My Crotch, It’s “Rude”

If you've seen Jon Hamm host Saturday Night Live, you know he has a great sense of humor — but for some reason he's taking his private parts really seriously.

Many men would pay to leak the stories he gets on his own, including one about AMC brass reportedly requesting he wear underwear on the Mad Men set, because his Little Hamm is so famously gifted it's become a distraction. Jon talked to Rolling Stone about the many memes out there concerning his privates. "Most of it's tongue-in-cheek, but it is a little rude," he told Rolling Stone (via Us Weekly). "It just speaks to a broader freedom that people feel like they have — a prurience. ... They're called 'privates' for a reason. I'm wearing pants, for f--k's sake. Lay off."

He does realize there are worse fates to have. "I mean, it's not like I'm a f---ing lead miner. There are harder jobs in the world. But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my c--k, I feel like that wasn't part of the deal [of fame]."

Do you agree with him? Is the body talk rude? What if the genders were reversed, and the talk was about an actresses' boobs (which happens all the time)? Or do you think he's taking himself a little too seriously? As one fan commented under Us Weekly's story, "Someone is getting a little big for his britches. Pun intended." Besides, underwear companies are lining up to give him free stuff for life!
