Tuesday Ratings: Splash Down, Smash Up

The good news is, NBC’s Smash was up 43 percent from last week’s ratings. The bad news is, it still only nabbed a 1.0 rating/3 share in the coveted 18-49 demographic, and 3.1 million viewers, according to The Wrap. And it’s still moving to Saturdays, starting April 6. Meanwhile, ABC’s Splash dropped 38 percent from last week for a rating of a 1.6/5, but still earned 6.7 million total viewers. So everything’s relative.

Here’s a brief rundown of Tuesday night’s (March 26) programming, via The Wrap:

CBS was first in both ratings and total viewers, with NCIS watched by a total of 18 million viewers. NBC’s The Voice earned a 3.9 rating/12 share in the 18-49 demographic, which was down 19 percent from Monday's premiere, but up 22 percent from last spring's Tuesday premiere in April, and made it the night’s best rated program. The show drew 12 million total viewers, down 12 percent from Monday's premiere, but up 42 percent from last April's Tuesday premiere. Go On had 5.6 million total viewers, and The New Normal had 3.6 million.

ABC’s Dancing With the Stars Results Show had a rating of 2.3/6 and 13 million total viewers. According to ABC, this Season 16 Results Show premiere was up 11 percent from Season 15. Body of Proof was up 13 percent and had 9.6 million total viewers. FOX’s Hell's Kitchen had 4.6 million total viewers. New Girl saw 4.3 million total viewers, and The Mindy Project had 2.8 million total viewers.
