American Idol

American Idol Lazaro Arbos Season 12 Top 8 Performance (VIDEO)

Most fans of American Idol 2013 are in agreement that Lazaro Arbos had the absolute worst performance on the show last week. Bloggers and critics all over the Internet lampooned his weak rendition of “My Life” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Vote For The Worst even declared Lazaro their candidate of choice for the least talented finalist this year.

The American Idol judges don’t seem overwhelmed with adoration of Lazaro either — well, except for Nicki Minaj, who went to war with Jimmy Iovine about making him too nervous and unsure of himself. Keith Urban thought Lazaro was in the wrong key for most of the song. Randy Jackson said it was his worst performance the entire season. Poor Lazaro was devastated and tears started leaking from his eyes on stage during his critique.

Lazaro complained about having his song choice switched, bad comments on the Internet making him go off his game, and any number of other reasons why it wasn’t really his fault he was terrible. Some fans thought it was kind of lame that he didn’t just suck it up and take the blame for doing a lousy job of it. Yet, despite all of this, Lazaro didn’t even end up in the bottom three last week!

Did Lazaro Arbos manage to redeem himself with his Top 8 performance of "For Once In My Life?" Watch the video and find out! Do you think he deserves to move on to next week, or is it finally time for Lazaro to go home?
