Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: Hook’s Return and What It Means for Emma

Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) shared a certain love/hate chemistry on their adventures in the Enchanted Forest earlier this season on Once Upon a Time. We were sad to see Emma leaving Hook in Giantland instead of trusting him (though, we can’t say we wouldn’t have done the same thing in her position). Luckily, it looks like Emma and Hook are going to get another chance to betray one another in the final four episodes of Season 2!

“Lots of Emma and lots of Hook in last 4 eps of season,” OUAT co-creator Adam Horowitz shared with the Twitter-sphere yesterday.

Ugh. We’re so torn between Team Swanfire (Swanthief?) and Team Captain Swan. It is going to be super awkward when Neal learns that Hook and Neal’s mom, Milah, were an item, but we tried to stop thinking about some of the more awkward relationship dynamics brought about by the selective character aging on this show a long time ago. It’s better this way.

We’re not sure what the Hook/Emma scenes will bring, but we do know that Hook’s storyline specifically will dig into his past, according to this tweet from Adam. That could mean the Milah/Rumple backstory will come to light, or it could mean a flashback to Neverland. We know the magical realm is going to be key in the two-part season finale. Will we learn about Hook’s connection to it? If so, how might OUAT reinvent this fairy tale? And, most importantly, how the heck did Hook get out of that storage unit?

Whatever Hook’s return brings, we’re glad he’s back. We’ve missed the guyliner and the terrible, terrible innuendos. Are you excited to see more Emma/Hook interaction? What do you think their storyline will look like in the last four episodes? Sound off in the comments below!
