Sean Penn’s 19-Year-Old Son Calls Photographer the N-Word
This is not the kind of behavior you would expect from the son of someone who won an Oscar for the film Milk.
Sean Penn's 19-year-old son Hopper got into an altercation with a photographer in which Hopper called him the n-word and used a gay slur, according to Us Weekly.
Sean and his son were leaving a building in L.A. when paparazzi began snapping photos of the two of them. Sean didn't acknowledge the photographers, but Hopper angrily stormed past one photographer.
When the paparazzo asked, "What the hell?," Hopper responded with, "You f**king kidding me?"
Hopper and the photographer continued exchanging words, with Hopper then flipping the photographers off and calling the photographer a gay slur.
"That the kind of talk you're teaching him, Sean?" asked the photographer.
Then, Hopper called the African-American photographer a "f**king n****r." Yikes.
Hopper later issued an apology for the outburst, saying he only acted this way because he felt "under attack."
"I deeply regret my choice of words," Hopper writes in a statement.
Sean Penn himself has been known for having issues with photographers, including an incident in 1986 in which Sean reportedly dangled a reporter from his hotel's ninth-floor balcony after finding the reporter hiding in his room.
Thank goodness no balcony-dangling was involved this time around.
