Shiri Appleby and her fiance Jon Shook welcomed their first child on March 23, and they just revealed the little lady's name — Natalie Bouader Shook!
According to to Us Weekly, Bouader is the maiden name of Shiri's mother, Dina. So now the Roswell alum plays "Natalia" on Girls while having a "Natalie" at home. (No room for "Liz" in that name? Kidding!)
Shiri told People, "Natalie Bouader Shook came into this world Saturday, March 23rd at 5 p.m. sharp, weighing in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. [and] 20.5 inches. [She has] big brown eyes and a full head of hair. She’s already made her parents proud.” Aww!
When Wetpaint Entertainment talked to Shiri, just a couple of weeks ago, we asked, "They’re already gearing up for Girls Season 3. If your character, Natalia, does return, would that be the only role you’d tackle, or would you want to do other things, too? Or would you want to take a break and spend time with your baby?"
Shiri answered, "I would definitely like to go back to work. [Laughs] The great thing about our job as actors is that you have beautiful trailers and lots of down time, and you can always bring a baby to work. And I just think it’s a really great example to show a kid, of a woman — of a mother — working."
Congrats — and good luck — to Shiri, Jon and little Natalie!
