Glee Season 4 Spoiler: Santana’s “Sweet Dreams” Are Made of… What?
Put on your speculation hats, gleeks, because it’s time to play “What’s going on in this scene?”
On March 27, Ryan Murphy tweeted out this pic of Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez) hugging a tiny ballerina with the caption, “Always remember to love yourself and all that you are.” That’s a sweet and important message, for sure, but we think there’s more to it. In fact, we’re pretty sure that little girl is a young Santana who dreams of one day becoming a ballerina.
What makes us so sure? Well, first off, Glee isn’t exactly the subtlest of shows (no T, no shade). And we know that an upcoming episode deals with exploring childhood dreams. Fox’s tease for Season 4, Episode 19: “Sweet Dreams” reads, “You’re never too old to chase your dreams.”
Putting the pieces together, we bet all of you a shiny nickel that Auntie Tana wanted to be a dancer when she was a little girl. (DISCLAIMER: This offer is not available to anyone inside or outside of the continental United States.)
Perhaps her new job at Coyote Ugly awakened her inner dancer? We think it would be great to see another former New Direction take a career path outside of — but still closely related to — music.
What do you think — are we spot on, or way off the map?
