Chris Brown is no longer being defensive about Rihanna. He sat down with Matt Lauer on The Today Show, and once they got his new music out of the way, Matt jumped into how Chris calls himself a "changed man" after his assault on girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Matt went pretty hard on Chris, and he brought up how cynics will say CB is calling himself a "changed man" because he's now trying to sell an album. Matt brought up the fight with Frank Ocean and also his Instagram pictures as arguments for why Chris may not be that changed at all. Chris stayed cool throughout, repeating that everyone is entitled to their opinions. "I can't make everybody like me."
He's certainly been better trained by his team. He was lighthearted and laughed during the interview. He also refuted rumors that he and Rihanna had split, saying the recent quotes were from an old interview. "We're fine." He also talked about going through a domestic violence program to talk through why he did what he did to Rihanna. Matt: "And you're sure it will never happen again?" Chris laughed and said, "Absolutely." Matt noted that, if Chris does something again, it won't just hurt his reputation, it will harm Rihanna's as well. Chris knows that.
What do you think? Have you changed your thoughts at all about Chris Brown, or have you formed an opinion on either side (or down the middle) and you're staying there?
