It wasn’t just any artwork Phoebe shredded. It was an original by her former Secret Circle co-star Chris Zylka. The painting featured a girl with Frankenstein monster-esque stitching on her face and the words “Somewhere over the rainbow.”
Almost a year ago, Chris posted a photo of his work on his own Instagram. Many of his fans thought the girl in the painting represented his then-girlfriend Lucy Hale, but instead of the Pretty Little Liars star, it looks like Phoebe Tonkin ended up with the print.
It appears Chris and Phoebe were dating in early February, when style blogger Alexandra Spencer tweeted a photo of the actress in a bikini on the beach, tagging Phoebe's former fellow witch. “Nice girlfriend!! @chriszylka,” she wrote, referring to Phoebe.
It’s not clear what spurred Phoebe’s act of art vandalism, but it certainly seems like it’s directed at Chris. The circle is broken.
Other than that, Phoebe seems to be fine; she’s due to visit Australia soon. Let’s hope she forgets all about her boy trouble on her trip home.
