We’re so excited we might have a “Heart Attack!” Demi Lovato’s highly anticipated upcoming album is almost here. In fact, Demi just unveiled the title, cover art, and release date for her follow-up to 2011’s “Unbroken.” And speaking of unveiled... Demi appears to be wearing little more than some silver body paint on the album cover!

Demi’s fourth album is titled, very simply, “DEMI,” and will be available for purchase and download May 14. The cover features a very goth Demi Lovato in black lipstick and nail polish. The wardrobe budget for the shoot must have been pretty scant, because she doesn’t seem to be wearing a stitch of clothing from the waist up. Instead, she is covered rather unevenly in smudges of silver paint. If not for her strategically placed arms, this would be a seriously revealing cover!
With this edgy portrait — and her gritty new song, “Heart Attack” — it looks to us like Demi is signalling to fans that she is going for a more grown-up look and sound than ever before. If there was anyone left in the world who still thought of Demi as a Disney star, we think this should probably take care of business.
What do you think of Demi’s new album cover art, Lovatics? Do you love it, or miss the clean-cut Disney princess of yore?
