Heidi Klum’s Son and Nannies Have Drowning Scare in Hawaii
Thankfully, Heidi Klum's 7-year-old son, Henry, is OK, but the Project Runway host had a scare while vacationing with her bodyguard boyfriend and four kids in Hawaii.
According to Entertainment Tonight — which has photos of Heidi in the ocean with her son — Henry and two nannies were caught up in a riptide in Oahu on March 31. Heidi and her boyfriend, Martin Kirsten, rushed to help everyone struggling in the sea.
"We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water," Heidi told ET in a statement. "Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."
If Henry was able to swim out of it, he's fortunate, since strong riptides have been known to take down adult swimmers. Speaking of adult swimmers, you can see Heidi helping another woman here. The poor woman, presumably one of the nannies, seemed to get the worst of it. Glad everyone is OK now!
