Joe Giudice Rejects New Plea Deal; Refuses to Go to Prison

Joe Giudice found himself in court today for his identity theft case, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star once again turned down a plea from the state which would have landed him behind bars for four years.

Teresa Giudice’s hubby was busted for driving with his brother’s license after his own license had been suspended back in 2011, and he’s been battling the identity theft charge in court ever since.

Joe’s attorney, Miles Feinstein, tells InTouch, “Today [April 1] the state offered him NJ State Prison, and we rejected that offer.” Instead of serving time behind bars, Joe and his attorney set a trial date for May 28, and they are confident that the reality star will be declared innocent and won’t do any time in the clink.

“Joe is being treated differently. He shouldn't have to do any jail time for this. The best outcome for this will be we win the case and he doesn't do any time at all” his lawyer continues.

However, if Joe goes to trial and loses, he will serve 10 years in jail.

Juicy Joe is certainly taking a gamble, and we just hope it pays off!
