Real Housewives of New York Renewed For Season 6, Bravo Adds Two NYC-Based Series

Though its fate was in the balance for what seems like forever, The Real Housewives of New York is returning for Season 6.

Today, Bravo announced that all five cities in the Real Housewives franchise — New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, and Miami — are renewed or returning for their latest season in 2013, in addition to a new Atlanta H’wives spin-off for lawyer Phaedra Parks.

While no premiere date is set for RHoNY Season 6, that news will likely be announced at Bravo’s upfront presentation next month in New York City with official cast confirmation.

The ladies’ haven’t tweeted about filming yet, though with the new season confirmed — and news that they will start filming in April — that will hopefully be underway soon!

Plus, if that’s not enough NYC gals for you, the network has two other New York-based shows launching this year. Princesses: Long Island premieres Sunday, June 2 and follows six members of the “boomerang generation” who “return to their pampered lifestyles in the comfort of their parents’ estates and at the expense of their fathers’ bank accounts,” and City Sisters, premiering fall 2013, which follows a “group of single, up-and-coming movers and shakers in New York's elite circles of real estate, fashion, and media.”

Lastly, Bravo also has a scripted drama in development from Pretty Little Liars writer Sara Shepard called Heiresses, which is basically PLL meets Gossip Girl, set on the Upper East Side.
