Shia LaBeouf has made a career of surprising people, whether it’s insinuating a relationship between himself and Megan Fox on the set of Transformers or stripping down for a Sigur Ros video, but his latest move may be the most out of character yet.
The eccentric actor took to the Late Show with David Letteman to issue a sort of mea culpa to Alec Baldwin for some bad blood between the pair following Shia’s firing from Alec’s play, Orphans.
“[Alec]’s a good dude and the show is terrific... I’m pretty passionate and impulsive, and he’s a very passionate individual, as well. I think that impulsiveness and that passion makes for some fireworks.
“Me and Alec had tension as men — not as artists, but as men,” explained Shia.
“If I were to arrange a reunion with you and Alec Baldwin, would you be up for that?” asked Dave.
“I think that would be a tough one to pull off,” laughed Shia. “I mean, I’m all for it.”
Putting the feud to bed once and for all, Shia directly addressed his alleged sparring partner, telling him, “Alec, I think you’re awesome, man. That’s it.”
