The 31-year-old divorcé from South Carolina found his way to The Voice Season 4 after giving up his music career to become a firefighter. Coach Adam Levine immediately turned his chair, followed by Shakira and last but not least, Blake Shelton.
Adam told Warren that he was throwing himself on “the chopping block,” to get him, while Blake reminded Warren that country music is a hard industry to break into and that he could get the singer where he needed to be.
After realizing that Adam “pushed his boundaries,” Warren chose the Maroon 5 frontman as his coach.
