Cory Monteith Rehab: Glee Has to Rewrite the Season 4 Finale Scripts
Glee's Cory Monteith (Finn) shocked fans with the announcement that he was entering rehab for substance abuse on March 31. This handsome hunk's health and safety are priority number one, but naturally Gleeks the world over are wondering how his road to recovery will affect their favorite show.
We already heard that Cory won't appear in two episodes — Season 4, Episode 21 and the Episode 22 season finale — and now E! News is confirming this means the final two scripts have to be completely re-written! The site reports that the finale will revolve around New Directions competing at Regionals, and now we can't help but wondering how Cory would have been featured in those critical episodes.
We had our fingers crossed for an epic Finn and Rachel (Lea Michele) reunion, but hey — there's always next season (hopefully), right guys? Make sure to keep Cory in your thoughts as he tackles his substance addiction, and continue flooding his gal-pal, Lea Michele's Twitter with supportive tweets!
In the meantime, hit the comments and tell us what you think will go down in Glee's much-anticipated season finale, and don't forget to dish your theories on how the Glee Powers That Be will explain Finn's absence. If you ask us, it’s sounding like Finn’s new college storyline might take a cue from Quinn at Yale and more or less disappear from the show for episodes on end. Hey, stranger things have happened.
