Dancing With the Stars 2013: Louis Van Amstel Tells Len Goodman to “Go Home”

The only good thing about not having Louis van Amstel as a competing pro on Dancing With the Stars Season 16 is that we have him as an opinionated blogger.

Louis's ABC News blogs are always a good read, and after Week 3's Prom Night, he echoed a portion of the judges' leaderboard while challenging some of the scores and comments. As he wrote, Kellie Pickler and Zendaya Coleman are “heads above the rest” of the group, with Jacoby Jones behind them, and then the rest of the pack down below.

The former Dancing With the Stars 2013 pro felt Kellie and Derek Hough had good scores for their Jive, but “relative to other scores, they should have been higher.” However, he felt Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy’s Viennese Waltz was “the performance of the night” and he would’ve liked it to get at least one “9” to make it at least equal to Kellie’s Jive. He also called out British judge Len Goodman on his style comment to Zendaya & Val. “Len go home, it’s American style Viennese Waltz, unless the show changes the rules and states clearly how much has to be done in closed hold.” Ha!

Louis thought D.L. Hughley & Cheryl Burke deserved three 6s for their Salsa, instead of a 6 and two 5s. However, he felt Victor Ortiz & Lindsay Arnold were overscored to get two 8s and a 7. “I’m sorry … three sevens, yes, but no eights in my opinion.” As to which couple may go home tonight, Louis wrote, “Not having thought about this too much, my intuition has me worried for Wynonna [Judd] and Lisa [Vanderpump]. I think Lisa is going home based on dancing and last week’s outcome. D.L. got creamed by the judges, which might make you vote for him, in my opinion.”

What do you think? Do you agree with Louis that it’s Zendaya, Kellie and Jacoby way at the top, D.L. was underscored, Victor was overscored, and Lisa is going home ...perhaps with her fellow Brit, Len?
