Lea Michele and Cory Monteith Gush About Musical Onscreen Reunion

Glee's resident songstress, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), is gearing up for the biggest audition of her life, and it looks like her best friends will be right by her side! In case you've been too distracted by Sam's (Chord Overstreet) pouty lips to pay attention, Rachel is preparing for the lead role in Funny Girl, and her audition song is none other than Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," which the cast of Glee performed in the pilot episode of Season 1, as well as in the Season 1 finale "Journey To Regionals."

"Ryan [Murphy] called and said, 'Rachel is going to have her Funny Girl audition, so she has to do some Barbra Streisand, and then she's going to do something very emotional, but I'm not telling you what it is,'" Lea Michele tells TV Guide. "I was like, 'You can't tease me like that!' So he said when she starts to sing, she realizes that she's singing 'Don't Stop Believing,' and all the kids show up in her imagination to support her."

Ummm, we're crying happy-tears right now. So, who will help Rachel belt out her tune? The original New Directions, which includes Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Kevin McHale (Artie), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Cory Monteith (Finn) — all of whom will be wearing the same outfit they wore during Glee's pilot episode (red t-shirts, blue jeans and black Chuck Taylors). Sure, the choreography and musical arrangement will be slightly different, but you can definitely expect the performance to rock your socks off.

Of course, Rachel's active imagination means that Finchel will share a powerful moment while singing Glee's most iconic song (even though that moment is imaginary –– not a real-life reunion as we originally hoped). "There is a moment between us," Cory tells TV Guide. "The ever lasting love that is Finchel getting her through."

We just can't even right now. So many feelings, so little time. Are you as excited about Rachel's Funny Girl audition as we are? Spill it in the comments!
