Sean Lowe Blasts Born-Again Virgin Title: “It’s No One’s Business”
It’s hard to look at Sean Lowe and not think “please take your clothes off.” But this 29-year-old Bachelor doesn’t think the millions of viewers who watched him propose on live television have any business thinking about what he does between the sheets with his fiancee Catherine Giudici.
No, really, that’s exactly what he said. “Frankly, it’s no one’s business,” Sean tells The Hollywood Reporter almost one month after The Bachelor Season 17 finale aired. “It’s just a personal matter for me,” he explains of his celibacy (which came after college).
Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss has his own explanation for viewer fascination with whether or not Sean sexed any of his 26 contestants up. “I think viewers responded to it as something different,” Mike explains. “We’ve never seen that before. Something new is always good for us.”
Asked about the poor Bachelor track record — only three couples have made it from the show to the altar — Sean questions the original intentions of the rose-dolers. “I think some of the fame might get to their heads,” Sean theorizes about past Bachelors, “and I don’t know how sincere they were going into it. All I can speak on is me, and I think it worked for me.”
Sean and Catherine, meanwhile, have publicly expressed their plan to marry “soon” in an ABC-televised ceremony. Maybe celibacy is the key to a successful relationship, after all!
