Flipping Out’s Jenni Pulos Opens Up About Pregnancy Fears and Baby Names
Last year was a big one for Flipping Out’s Jenni Pulos: The 40-year-old reality star married Jonathan Nassos in May 2012, and — surprise! — she found out she was pregnant in October. We caught up with the adorable star at the Bravo Upfront on April 3 in New York City, where she chatted about pregnancy cravings, baby names, and why her kid may think she’s a dork.
Wetpaint Moms: How’s your pregnancy going?
Jenni Pulos: It’s going really well, thank you. It’s my first. I’m six months along. I was a little sick in the first trimester, but I had to work so I tried not to focus on it, which was quite a blessing actually.
You know what? No cravings. I was a little disappointed by that. But no aversions either. Bacon is at the top of my list — but it always is, pregnant or not.
Do you know what you’re having?
I don’t — it’s going to be a surprise.
So you’re picking out a boy’s name and a girl’s name?
Yep! It will probably include something for both of our parents.
Are you experiencing any pregnancy fears?
My pregnancy fear is that I’m more immature than my soon-to-be born baby! Also, will the baby think their mom’s a dork for being a middle aged rapper? You know things of that nature… But I also think the biggest blessing is letting go, especially towards the end. It’s been hard, but I’m learning to embrace it. I mean, that’s parenthood ,right? You love something and then they tell you ‘I hate you’ and take the car…
Ha! Speaking of your rapping, which you’re famous for, you have a kid’s album that just dropped this week?
Yes! It’s called “Old School Kids Beats” and it’s available now on Amazon, iTunes, and JenniPulos.com. It’s all original songs and I just found out it went from number 80 to number 8. Ten percent goes to charity. I wanted something great for children that parents could enjoy, too. It’s fresh and it’s current and it has a really nice message. Check it out!
