Grey’s Anatomy Leah Murphy: Intern Report Card — Should She Stay?
Season 9 on Grey’s Anatomy brought us five brand new interns to get acquainted with. One of them is Dr. Leah Murphy (Tessa Ferrer), whose first claim to fame was sleeping with Alex Karev — practically a rite of passage for Grey’s interns in itself!
It’s time to find out how well Leah has done so far in her first year as a surgical intern. We will be grading her on her intelligence, or surgical skills, her interaction with the other doctors, and how interested she keeps us in finding out what will happen to her next.
Let’s see how she did!
Intelligence: A. Leah works hard and is very competitive, especially when she and Stephanie were vying for Cristina’s attention. She cares about impressing her attendings, and that’s half the battle.
Interaction: B. Leah was heartbroken when her casual affair with Alex turned out to be just that: casual. She wanted for more, but it just didn’t work out. We hope Leah is able to find someone who will treat her right.
Interest: B. Leah’s been a background character this season. Well, until we thought she was the one responsible for spreading a deadly post-op infection throughout the hospital. So know that we know she’s not getting fired, we would love to get to know her better next season. We feel like she has tons of potential!
Final grade: B+
