Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Songs: Music From Season 9, Episode 20, “She’s Killing Me”

Per usual, every Thursday night brings so many feelings — and so many angsty songs to match the melancholy. Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 20, “She’s Killing Me” brought both the drama on both plot and sound points. The ABC music masters have somehow figured out the perfect soundtrack for traumatizing life events like finding out you are on the spectrum for Alzheimer’s (sorry, Mer), realizing your girlfriend isn’t what she says she is (sorry, Matthew), and terrifying hospital outbreaks (sorry, everyone). Here are the songs that helped us weather the emotional turmoil:

Artist: Foals
Song: "My Number"
Scene: April teaches (and has a heart-to-heart) with one of the visiting Syrian doctors.
Lyrics:
You don't have my number
We don't need each other now
We don't need the city
The creed or the culture now

And I feel the colour alive
I feel the colour
And I feel the streets are pulling me down

So people of the city
I don't need your counsel now
I don't need that good advice
You don't have my lover's touch

Artist: Jon E.K.
Song: "Cold World"
Scene: Bailey's patient crashes!
Lyrics:

Cold, cold, cold
It's a cold, cold world
Cold, cold, cold
It's a cold, cold world
Cold, cold, cold,
It's a cold, cold world

Artist: Flight Facilities
Song: "Clair de Lune"
Scene: Cristina and Meredith talk in the park about Zola.
Lyrics:

Don't go, Tell me that the lights won't change,
Tell me that you'll feel the same, And we'll stay here forever,
Don't go, Tell me that the lights won't change,
Tell me that it'll stay the same, Where we go,
Where we,
Where we go, Where we go,
Where we go, Where we go, Where we go.
