Kourtney Kardashian recently shared a detailed account of her daily food intake with Redbook magazine, and we admit, we were a little surprised at what we saw!
To be fair, she mostly has great eating habits, and we’re pretty jealous. A healthy shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch and some salmon with rice and kale for dinner? We should be so virtuous.
Sure, the room temperature water she drinks all day doesn’t sound all that appealing, but we’re all entitled to our quirks. But what’s this daily dose of butter all about?
“I start the day with a tablespoon of ghee—clarified butter that I melt and drink,” Kourtney explained. “It’s an ayurvedic thing that doesn’t taste good, but it’s good for you.”
OK, that bit sounds a little gross, but mostly we can’t believe a celebrity admitted to eating butter every day! Kourtney isn’t afraid of a little fat. She admits that she “can never follow a diet,” and has to have something sweet (like brownie chocolate chip cookies!) after every meal. She also has a rule: “no skim or low-fat anything—ever.”
That sounds pretty good to us! And really, did you see her bikini photo shoot she did six months after she had her second baby? Clearly, she must be doing something right.
