Pretty Little Liars Spin-Off: Dream Casting Ravenswood
Earlier this week, we introduced you to the three Ravenswood characters who will be making a trip to Rosewood to appear in the Pretty Little LiarsSeason 4 Halloween special. Who would we like to see play these new characters? We've picked three promising young actors who we think would be perfect for the parts. After all, they all have a history of roles that involve a lot of secret-keeping.
Skyler Samuels as Miranda. For “feisty, disarming, and unconventionally attractive” foster kid Miranda, we'd cast 18-year-old Skyler Samuels. We’ve been wanting to see her in another lead role since The Nine Lives of Chloe King tragically went off the air. We know she has the charisma to fill a starring role, and we’d like to see her try something edgier than Chloe. We think she has the acting chops to pull it off and she definitely has experience in a supernatural role, if Ravenswood heads in that direction. Check out this clip of Skylar as Chloe running for her life. We have a feeling those sorts of skills are going to come in handy in Ravenswood.
Logan Lerman as Abel. And what about “lone wolf” Abel? Maybe this is asking for too much, but we fell in love with Logan Lerman in his recent starring role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. He may be a bit goofier than “old soul with brooding intensity” suggests, but this 21-year-old actor has an impressive resume and a history of uncovering secrets in his role as Percy Jackson in the bestselling book-turned-film franchise. We can dream, right?
Phoebe Tonkin as Olivia. As for Abel’s prom queen-turned-outcast twin sister Olivia, we have our eye on Australian beauty Phoebe Tonkin, perhaps best known as Faye Chamberlain on the canceled Secret Circle. She also plays werewolf Hayley on The Vampire Diaries, and is a cast member in the proposed Vampire Diaries spin-off. We think she should hedge her bets with another spin-off role, because that's how much we love her. As Faye, she had ice queen down to a tee. While she may not have always had the most respect for authority, she usually knew to keep her mouth shut about the whole witch thing.
