Rick Ross Apologizes For Song Lyrics: “I Don’t Condone Rape”

Rick Ross's song "U.O.E.N.O." has been blasted for appearing to condone rape. The song includes lyrics like "Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” ("Molly" refers to the drug MDMA.)

The woman's group UltraViolet protested the song and suggested companies like Reebok, which Ross represents, stop working with him. There were protests outside a Reebok store in NYC on Thursday.

Ross took to Twitter to apologize/do damage control: "I dont condone rape.Apologies for the #lyric interpreted as rape. #BOSS. ... Apologies to my many business partners, who would never promote violence against women. @ReebokClassics @ultraviolet."

UltraViolet responded, “We appreciate that you don’t condone rape but what’s upsetting is that you’re rapping about it & don’t know it. ... slipping a woman a drug and “enjoying” her is rape. #CONSENT #EndRapeCulture."
