Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Tamra Barney’s First Thought on Vicki’s New Face: “Big Mistake”

Tamra Barney may have downplayed it during this week's Real Housewives of Orange County, but she was hurt to not hear directly from Vicki Gunvalson about Briana giving birth.

"The birth of baby Troy made me cry," Tamra writes in her Bravo blog. "Not speaking to Vicki and missing her becoming a grandma was really hard. Hearing that she called Heather first to tell her the good news really hit me hard."

Tamra says she didn't know how to break the ice with Vicki at Heather Dubrow's party.

"Seeing Vicki for the first time was difficult," she writes. "Coming face-to-face with her at the very same place that broke up our friendship was difficult."

Tamra was surprised to see the work that Vicki had done on her face, but Tamra hadn't realized when she first saw Vicki's face that it was still quite swollen.

"I had heard that Vicki had some work done to her face, but I had no idea she had just had it done one week prior to the party," Tamra admits. "When I first saw her I thought, 'Wow what a big mistake.' It did not even look like the Vicki I have known for the past six years. She was very swollen and tried to hide her face with her hair."

Howver, Tamra regrets making harsh comments about Vicki's surgery.

"After watching, I feel bad for making fun of her now," Tanra says. "I get sarcastic when I am hurt to help protect me from dealing with my pain."

Tamra also says that she probably shouldn't have used the word "controlling" to describe fiance Eddie Judge.

"Controlling was clearly not the word I was searching for — maybe anal retentive?" she says. But now, "we are very happy and well-adjusted" — and "Eddie lost the battle of NO shoes in the house."

Well done, Eddie. And don't worry — we're sure there's an affordable carpet-cleaning company near you.
