Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Season 9, Episode 23’s Trauma Will Blow You Away

Though the remainder of Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 has been kept secret, a few spoilers have trickled our way. While Shonda Rhimes has sworn the cast to secrecy and even fooled us a bit — going back and forth about an impending disaster — two cast members let a few secrets slip about Episode 23, aka part one of the two-part finale!

During last night’s episode, a fan asked Sarah Drew (April Kepner) about her favorite moment this season, but she didn’t answer in quite the way we thought. Instead, she talked about the future.

“It’s coming up in ep 23!” she tweeted excitedly. “Get ready to be blown away!”

We can’t tell if she’s happy or freaked out about what’s going to happen, though she later said there will be trauma in the episode. “Ep 23 has some great badass trauma Kepner stuff,” she added.

Hmm. We would be scared for our Grey Sloan Memorial docs, but then she seemed to change her feelings again, apparently taking a cue from Shonda. “There is something super duper fun in 23,” she told a fan, adding that it’s her “favorite scene my entire time in the show!”

All of these mixed messages have us reeling — especially since Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) agrees. When a fan mentioned Sarah’s comments on the episode, she retweeted the message, writing, “She has good reason to think that...”

Pardon us while we cry-speculate in the corner until the show returns on April 25.

Are you worried about Episode 23, or do you think it will be a delightful, fun hour? Sound off below!

Grey’s Anatomy returns on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
