Robert Downey, Jr. Hits up China for “Iron Man 3″ Publicity
In his latest efforts to promote Iron Man 3, Robert Downey, Jr. is strutting his stuff in China. The hunky actor (who’s pushing 50 and yet keeps getting hotter), is all about the Chinese culture, stating during an on-stage panel that he lives “a very Chinese life in America.”
Robert is an avid admirer of Chinese medicine (he frequents two traditional Chinese medical practitioners when at home) and also has mad respect for martial arts, and studies Wing Chun. But the interest doesn’t end there. Robert says he’s “made it [his] business” to pay attention to cultural happenings in China.
Boys, take note: being cultured makes your sexy factor sky rocket!
As though he wasn’t naturally charming enough, Robert went on to address his fans in the Chinese dialect. He also indulged in a candy-flossed fruit, which is a popular local confectionery. Sweets are great, but as you may know, the Chinese food in China is very different from the Americanized kind we get in the U.S, so this may not have been too yummy, but Robert pulled it off smoothly.
Robert sure has come a long way in life. It wasn’t so long ago that the only press we were reading about the Sherlock Holmes star was about his drug addiction and prison time. Kudos to Robert for totally owning his mistakes and truly getting his life together so that his inimitable talents can shine. Other troubled celebs have a wonderful role model!
Iron Man 3 comes out next month, and considering we’ve been teased with sneak peaks for the last year, we can’t wait to see it!
