American Idol 2013: Lazaro Arbos Dreams of Being a Husband and Father

In five years, American Idol 2013 finalist Lazaro Arbos hopes to be surrounded by family and married with one child. That’s not likely a surprise to anyone who remembers his initial audition, as he seemed very close to his parents. In fact, his mom got emotional as she described how Laz used to be bullied because of the stutter he has had since he was six years old.

If Lazaro could sing through an instrument, it would be the piano, especially because he loves the way it sounds. His American Idol and Twitter bestie, Angie Miller, must really inspire him (like she does us!) when she performs at the piano. Hopefully he can convince her to stay there, as that’s when she does her best.

The person who inspired Lazaro the most is his grandma, as she helped him to become the man he is today, and the Cuban-born singer says he values family above all else.
