Lindsay Yenter Spills Details on New Boyfriend Karl — Exclusive
When Lindsay Yenter took the long walk toward Sean Lowe in the Bachelor Season 17 finale, she thought she’d get to do the return trip with a ring on her hand and a partner for life on her arm. But since that day when she ditched her heels and walked away solo, she’s had a ton of new excitement to assuage any worry we may have had about her happiness.
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Lindsay at the 2nd Annual Chris4Life Celebrity Auction Event on April 5 to chat about returning to normal life after the craziness of reality fame — and even snagged deets on the new man in her life. Spoiler alert: She’s super happy.
Wetpaint Entertainment: You had this crazy experience, and now everything's just very normal — normal job, normal boy. What happened? Is it a relief to be back to this way of life? Lindsay Yenter: It is. I really enjoy the whole process of being on the show, and it was so much fun. It was a great experience, but I also love teaching. And I love staying out of the limelight and kind of just enjoying normal life. I like the balance of both of them. And as I said, I can go hide and do my normal things.
Wetpaint: Tell us how you met your normal boyfriend. Lindsay: He is actually my best friend's boyfriend's brother.
Wetpaint: What’s his name? Lindsay: Karl, with a K.
Wetpaint: So you must have known him peripherally? Lindsay: I knew of him. I had never met him. So after this season, I was like, “Hey, who's this cutie? I'm going to go meet him.”
Wetpaint: And how long has it been? Lindsay: It's been about a month.
Wetpaint: So it's super new. Lindsay: It's all new. Exciting, very exciting. We're taking it slow. We're just enjoying each other's company and spending time in San Diego and Orange County.
Wetpaint: What did you learn about dating from doing it very publicly? Lindsay: I learned that you kind of just have to focus on yourself and really realize what you want, and after doing the whole show, it made me realize I need to find guys who I want as a husband and as a father instead of going after the bad boy. And I really, really think that Sean has opened up my eyes to that, and I'm so thankful for that.
Wetpaint: What was different about him than the average bad boy that we all have fallen for? Lindsay: He's just a really sweet guy. He's genuine, and he's a Christian guy which these days above anything else, I love that. He just really truly cares. He's not — you know what I'm talking about — those boys.
Oh yeah, girl, we know what you’re talking about. We’re so happy Lindsay is happy! Reporting by Carita Rizzo
