Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8, Episode 2 Recap: Tamra and Vicki’s Drama!

Put on your dancin' shoes! This week's Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8, Episode 2 involved a much-anticipated sit-down between Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson in a wine cellar, of all places although Eddie Judge and Gretchen Rossi clearly aren't on Team Vicki.

And now it's time for our recap of the wacky episode! So go put some glitter on your baby, paint your dog, and make a quick Costco run.

Tamra and Vicki "Face" Off

The episode, "Evil Eyes and Evil Faces," picks up where last week's premiere left off, with Vicki arriving at Heather Dubrow's clambake. Tamra and Vicki hadn't spoken since their contentious battle at the Season 7 reunion, so it's understandable that they were nervous about how to approach things.

First, Gretchen and Tamra share some harsh remarks about Vicki's facial "tweaking" and let's face it, being called Dudley Do-Right isn't much better than being called Miss Piggy. Then, they all sit down to the table, and following Heather's lesson on how to eat lobster is eating lobster really that difficult? things get tense.

After more silly complaints from Terry aka Lord of the Onion Rings Vicki says that she and Brooks are taking a "step back," which Gretchen doesn't believe. Tamra also has to answer questions about her relationship, as the ladies want to know why she and Eddie haven't set a wedding date yet. Clearly, nothing is off-limits at this clambake.

Then, when Vicki says Tamra wasn't there for her, Tamra runs away from the table in tears. Heather goes after her, saying that Tamra needs to make better choices and that life is too short for these kinds of incidents. Way to go, Heather!

Bottled-Up Emotions

Later, while the ladies are having desserts that may or may not be from Costco please don't pinch us for that sentence, Heather! Tamra gets word from Eddie that their gym got the city's approval! Vicki tries to congratulate Tamra, but it doesn't go well, so they decide to lock themselves in the wine cellar. Let's just hope things don't get as crazy in there as they do in the R. Kelly song, "Trapped in the Closet."

As it turns out, Vicki and Tamra do make progress, as they agree that they're like family to each other and reminisce about their previous trips to wine country. However, Tamra tells the camera she might not be able to trust Vicki again so we're not sure exactly how much progress they've actually made.

Alexis wasn't at the party, and so instead she has her own little private party with her husband, Jim, between ballroom dancing lessons and launching his new dodgeball gym. We're just glad the other ladies weren't within throwing vicinity while Alexis had that dodgeball in her hands.

Gretchen makes it clear that she doesn't like Vicki — and she even tells Vicki at the clambake that they'll never be besties. Way to sugarcoat things, Gretchen. Slade keeps the same sentiment going by referring to Vicki as "Mickey Rourke" and an "elephant" on his radio show.

Then again, Slade seems in much better spirits when he gets that paycheck from his boss. (Slade getting a paycheck?! First time for everything!)

Following in Someone Else's Footsteps Paw Prints

There's a little tension between Vicki and Briana, as Briana is upset that Vicki started remodeling her home right before the baby is born. And Briana apparently doesn't think little Troy looks good with glitter, but we beg to differ.

Finally, Eddie tells Tamra not to rekindle her friendship with Vicki, as he thinks she's lying about having broken up with Brooks. That said, we're not sure how seriously we can take advice from a guy who just got done painting his dog's paw, and then is surprised that there's paint on the floor.

So we're crossing our fingers that Vicki and Tamra can smooth things out, but it's still hard to tell if that will happen for good. In the meantime, we could use a snack. Anyone want to make a trip to Costco?
