The Talk’s Sara Gilbert Is Engaged to Girlfriend Linda Perry!
Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry are ready to get the party started!
Sara, who co-hosts the CBS daytime show The Talk, announed on the show on April 8 that she and girlfriend Linda Perry are engaged, according to People.
Sara says that Linda popped the question "about a week ago."
The moment was "magical and amazing," Sara continues. Awww!
The two were relaxing in a park and listening to a nearby musician at the time.
"I'm sitting there listening, and I'm kind of daydreaming, and I'm thinking like, 'If I ever proposed to her, this would be an amazing way to do it,'" Sara reveals. "The people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket, walk over, and they start playing 'Love Song.'"
The song by The Cure is what Sara and Linda had decided would be "their song," since their other favorite song — "Missing You" by John Waite — is a break-up song.
Then, Linda sprang into action.

"[Linda] goes to her backpack, and she pulls out these T-shirts, and the first T-Shirt says 'will' and then puts on another T-shirt, and it says, 'you,' then 'marry,' 'me.' And the last one's a question mark," Sara explains. "It's the most amazing proposal ever."
And then, Linda surprised Sara by introducing her to John Waite, who then performed "Missing You" for them. Talk about pulling out all the stops!
"We had our proposal with our breakup song," Sara realized, "which is great."
Sara appreciates that her fans support her on the issue of gay marriage.
"I happened to be talking about gay marriage, and I thank you all for your support on that issue," she told the audience.
Sara — who has two children from her relationship to Allison Adler — was first linked romantically to Linda in November 2011.
Linda is a musician who had a massive hit single in the early '90s called "What's Up?" as frontwoman for the group 4 Non Blondes.
Linda has gone on to have a ton of success as a songwriter, having written Pink's breakthrough hit, "Get the Party Started," and Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful."
Sara is known for roles on Roseanne and The Big Bang Theory.
