The Voice

The Voice 2013’s Midas Whale Performs Original Song “Howlin’ at the Moon” (VIDEO)

Forget The Voice! Folk duo Midas Whale is already performing on hit entertainment shows like Access Hollywood. The comedic twosome visited the NBC set to perform their original tune, “Howlin’ at the Moon.”

It marks the first time we’ve seen contestants perform original music on another show while the blind auditions are still airing. Clearly, these fellas have some talent!

With the show failing to produce a breakout artist with a radio hit, The Voice needs artists who also have impressive songwriting abilities.

Folk music is currently in vogue with groups like Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, and Of Monsters and Men hitting the top of the charts. This could be the perfect time for Midas Whale to hit the reality music competition scene.

Thus far, we’ve been impressed with the boys’ stage presence and talent, but now they’re really blowing us away with their writing skills, too.

Watch the performance and tell us what you think below!
