American Idol 2013: Janelle Arthur Wants to Marry and Make Music

American Idol 2013 finalist Janelle Arthur said that she hopes to be making music in five years. The Zumba instructor, who’s become known for her old school country twang, is aiming high, as she says she wants to be performing for big crowds.

Janelle also said she hopes she’s writing some good songs by then. Could we be in for an original by Janelle before the season is over? One can only hope it would be a moment like Angie Miller’s at the piano.

On a personal note, she hopes that she’s married. Scotty McCreery is one of the live performers on this week’s results show. Someone needs to play matchmaker — an American Idol country couple, y’all!

If she could sing through an instrument, Janelle says it would be the guitar. More specifically, the small town girl says it would be a steel guitar, as she loves the signature country sound it has.

Janelle’s biggest influence in her life has been her mother. She says she’s her best friend and sets such a good example for her. Her mom hasn’t pushed her to pursue music, but has taught her how to go after what she loves. Plenty of fans owe her a big debt, too, as Janelle has grown a big fanbase over her weeks on Idol.
